Description

The VELOCIraptor pakcage is designed to read in N-body/Hydrodynamical simulations and identify haloes/galaxies, build halo merger trees (using TreeFrog) and produce a vareity of outputs. It is an MPI+OpenMP c++ code. The halo finder can read several N-body formats: Gadget binary Ramses binary tipsy binary HDF5 It will produce a list of (sub)haloes/galaxies in several formats: ascii binary HDF5 ADIOS (in the works) The code also has analysis tools associated with it for building halo merger trees and can read several input formats: ascii AHF VELOCIraptor (all formats) ascii SUSSING The code also has associated python toolkits for producing unified data format with halo catalog information and tree information.
